Tuesday Field Trips and Intensive Workshop Add-Ons

Tuesday Add-On Field Days and Workshops: Sliding Scale* $15-45 (must be registered in advance; no Day-Of Registration)

*How does our sliding scale pricing work?
When you first log in to register, you will be asked to identify your registrant type as either General Pricing, Sustainability Pricing, or Solidarity Pricing. What you choose will determine the prices of your Tuesday Field Trip and/or Intensive Workshop. This sliding scale pricing does not apply to the cost of All-Conference or One-Day Passes.

Wednesday and Thursday Educational Passes

All-Conference Passes

Early Bird All-Conference Pass: $450 until December 7, 2024! Includes access to all Conference activities, the Expo Hall, Breakfast & Lunch on Wednesday & Thursday, and the Closing Dinner on Thursday (Day-Of Registration Cost: $525)

One-Day Passes

Single Day Pass for Wednesday: $200 Includes access to all Conference activities, the Expo Hall, and Breakfast & Lunch on Wednesday Only (Day-Of Registration cost: $250)

Single Day Pass for Thursday: $250 Includes access to all Conference activities, the Expo Hall, Breakfast & Lunch, and the Closing Dinner on Thursday (Day-Of Registration cost: $300)

Add-Ons

Childcare & Teen Zone

Childcare and Teen Zone (available Wednesday & Thursday only): $150/day per child (must be registered in advance; Childcare not available with Day-Of Registration).

Includes age-appropriate and developmental experiences by age group provided in partnership with Jovie Nannies & Sitters and Follow Ladybug, LLC.

Scholarships

SOWTH 2025 Scholarships are available to cover the registration costs, including a two-day All-Conference Pass ($450/person), add-on farm tour ($45/person), and/or on-site childcare ($150/child per day for Feb. 5-6 only), as well as travel expenses (hotel, mileage, and airfare stipend).

Producers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Virginia are eligible to apply.

We are prioritizing new and beginning producers and ranchers: Black, Indigenous, Latino/a, and persons of color, veterans, women, and agricultural students in this region as our primary recipients for scholarships. As space allows we will consider ag and culinary professionals, educators, nonprofit/community organization employees, and other food systems professionals.

Application deadline is November 13th!

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring the overall success and execution of SOWTH. Volunteers will help with a range of on-site, pre- and post-conference activities including registration and speaker check-in, merchandise sales, exhibitor help desk, vendor load in/load out, set up, and culinary support. Our volunteer shifts provide opportunities for networking and connecting with conference attendees, attending educational sessions, and a partial reimbursement for your registration costs based on the completion of your volunteer shift.

Volunteer applications will launch in December 2024. You can sign up for SOWTH emails and follow our socials to be the first to know when we launch our call for volunteers! 

Volunteer & Speaker/Expo Check In
Welcome and check in Speakers, Volunteers, and Exhibitors at the Registration Table. Registration volunteers are responsible for distributing credentials and informational materials to these key conference participants.

Registration
Welcome, register, and distribute name tags and informational materials for all conference attendees. Attendees will have lots of questions at the registration table, so familiarize yourself with the conference schedules, mobile app, room locations, etc.

Merchandise
Run register for conference merchandise. Must be familiar with point-of-sale apps and technology. Restock and tidy sales areas as needed.

Expo Loading
Help set up and assist exhibitors in loading in to the Expo Hall on Tuesday, February 4. Help break down and assist exhibitors in loading out of the Expo Hall on Thursday, February 6. Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.

Expo & Attendee Help
Checking in with and assisting exhibitors as well as general info for attendees. Troubleshooting various Expo issues and encouraging participants to visit the Expo room.

Conference Prep (ATLANTA)
NOTE: This volunteer slot occurs BEFORE Conference days and will be located at the Georgia Organics office in ATLANTA.

Help sort merchandise, organize name tags, and prepare speaker bags in the days prior to Conference.

Do I need to register for the conference?
Yes, all volunteers will need to register before signing up to volunteer.

Are there any age limits to volunteer?
Yes, we require that all volunteers are over 18 years of age. 

What are the requirements to be a volunteer?
You must be a conference attendee in order to serve as a conference volunteer. You must apply and be accepted to be a volunteer.

How long are volunteer shifts?
Standard volunteer shifts are 4 hours long. If you have been awarded a scholarship your volunteer shift is 2 hours long.

What are the benefits of being a volunteer?
Based on documented hours worked, volunteers will receive a $60 reimbursement or $50 and the option of one Georgia Organics merchandise item. The financial discount for volunteering is received as a refund check in the mail, after the completion of your volunteer activities. Our volunteer shifts also provide opportunities for networking and connecting with conference attendees and opportunities to attend educational sessions.

Will I receive training and detailed information before my volunteer shift?
Yes, we will host a virtual info session after the window to apply to volunteer ends and provide detailed information in our Volunteer Packet prior to the conference. We will also provide a quick training on-site and be available throughout your shift to answer any questions you may have.

Bring Your Kids to SOWTH!

Children and teens of all ages are welcome at SOWTH! Childcare and Teen Zone opportunities are $150/day per child and include age-appropriate and developmental experiences by age group.*

0-2 Years: Traditional childcare or sitter services, provided by Jovie of Atlanta.

3-4 Years: Traditional childcare services, provided by Jovie of Atlanta with some creative activities by Follow Ladybug.

5–7 Years: Enhanced childcare with age-appropriate youth programming and creative activities by Follow Ladybug.

8–10 Years: Enhanced childcare for upper grades/ages, with age-appropriate youth programming and creative activities by Follow Ladybug.

11+ Years: Supervised care with a focus on youth programming, creative activities, and some independent learning at SOWTH.

Teen Zone/13+ Years: Provide creative supervision and space for teens to engage with one another and independently attend a selection of content at SOWTH.

*Full schedule for childcare and youth programming will be released in December 2024. We will prioritize producers who may have limited caregiving support.

Georgia World Congress Center and the Centennial Park District 
The Georgia World Congress Center is an award-winning 3.9 million-square-foot facility, and the largest LEED Gold certified convention center in the world. The Center is located in the heart of Atlanta’s Centennial Park District and adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park, a 22-acre greenspace serving as the lasting legacy of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. Pro Travel Tip: SOWTH activities on Wednesday & Thursday will take place in Building C of the Georgia World Congress Center. If you plan to take rideshare directly to the conference site, remember to request “Zone 1” on your preferred rideshare app to get dropped off directly at Building C!

General Driving and Parking Directions: If driving via I-75/I-85, the Centennial Park District is located off of Exit 249C (Williams St) from the North and Exit 249D (Spring St) from the South. Via I-20 East/West, take Exit on I-75/I-85N toward Atlanta. Exit 249D (Spring St). Spring Street veers left and becomes Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW. Turn right on Baker St. then left right on Marietta St. If you are traveling from out of town, use your preferred map system to map directly to your lodgings. If you are Atlanta based and would like to park at the Georgia World Congress Center, keep an eye on your email for more instructions on how you can save money by purchasing parking in advance! 

Plane: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is approximately 20 minutes by car or rideshare or 35 minutes by public MARTA rail from the Georgia World Congress Center and Conference hotels.* For more information visit the airport website here.

Train: You can take the Amtrak or Greyhound directly to Atlanta. Amtrak connects at Peachtree Station, which is approximately 20 minutes by car or rideshare or 30 minutes by public MARTA bus to the Georgia World Congress Center and conference hotels.* More information on the Amtrak website here. Greyhound connects at the Atlanta Bus Station, which is approximately 10 minutes by car or rideshare or 20 minutes by public MARTA rail to the Georgia World Congress Center and Conference hotels.*

*Night hours may affect public MARTA transportation schedule and approximate travel time. While public transportation in Atlanta is generally considered safe, it is important to plan well, research your routes, and pay attention to your surroundings while traveling and in all public places!
